Vogue do this series called 73 Questions where they visit the homes of famous people and ask them 73 questions. Even though the responses are contrived, it's my guilty pleasure (along with Refinery 29's Money Diaries). I compiled 73 of the questions so that Andrew and I could share our contrived responses with you.

 

What's the best thing that happened to you this year?

J: The best is yet to come.

A: Jen. (Reigning Champion 2014-present.)

 

What's the best thing that happened to you this month?

J: I decided to quit my job at the end of this year.

A: Finding out Michael Cohen’s third client.  

 

What's the best thing that happened to you today?

J: Video-chatting with my parents and then with Andrew’s mom and Luna.

A: Remembering it’s a 3-day weekend.

 

What's the best thing ever?

J: Scalp massages.

A: Hot sauce.

 

What's your favorite season?

J: Fall.

A: Baseball season.

 

What's your favorite holiday?

J: Christmas.

A: Any with food all day.

 

Do you like surprises?

J: No!

J: How’s a girl to choose?

A: More dinner.

 

Is there a dessert you don't like?

J: Anything white chocolate, fudge, or caramel.

A: Yes there is. Many, in fact.

 

What's your favorite food?

J: Probably Mexican.

A: Mexican.

 

What's your least favorite food?

J: Bananas or chicken.

A: Anything with sweet and savory mixed.  

 

What's the weirdest thing that you've ever eaten?

J: Uni is pretty weird but I love it.

A: Elk burgers and deer sausage at an air compressor factory employee picnic.

 

What's your favorite condiment?

J: Hot sauce.

A: Mustard.

 

It's brunch. What do you eat?

J: Huevos rancheros, pancakes “for the table,” and a side of avocado toast.

A: No it’s not. It’s 4:30. If it were, I’d be eating a skillet with veggies, sausage, over easy eggs, and wheat toast.

 

It's 4am on a Saturday night. What would you eat?

J: Pizza, Halal Guys, or a Fat Sandwich.

A: A burrito.

 

What is your favorite pizza?

J: A plain, New York slice.

A: Supreme. Or any that doesn’t get me embroiled in some dumb debate about which regional pizza is the best or is pizza.  

(J: 'Chicago-style pizza' is not pizza. That's why they call it 'Chicago-style.')

 

Favorite drink?

J: Cold-pressed juice.

A: Black coffee.

 

What's your favorite color?

J: Pink.

A: I don’t see color.

 

What color dress did you wear to your prom?

J: Silvery green. I hated prom.

A: Don’t recall but I was gorgeous.

 

Blow dry or air dry?

J: Air dry, but I love a good blow dry.

J: My mama.

J: My dad, or his dad, but I’d have tea.

J: One of my girlfriends.

J: I have phases with both, but probably Instagram.

J: How’s a girl to choose?

A: Depends if it’s brunch or 4am.

J: Two of my girlfriends said mine would be something elegant, like a gazelle. I’d say Larry the Cucumber.

A: Rabbit.

 

What's your favorite movie of all time?

J: I don't have a favorite. I don't even really like movies. (They give me anxiety.) But I know all the lines in The Devil Wears Prada.

Movie you laughed the hardest through?

J: Not a movie, but I could not get myself together while watching a production of Macbeth with my students in Providence.

J: The Fault in Our Stars. All my students were reading it.

J: Summer vacation!

A: Eating Korean food whenever we want.

J: Dream by Priscilla Ahn is my life as a song, but the title would be Carry On.

Best gift you've ever received?

J: A poem from Andrew.

A: I never got a Power Wheel and am still bitter about it.

 

Last gift you gave a friend?

J: Travel-themed gifts for her birthday, for her trip to the States.

A: A baby book.

 

If you could spend three months anywhere, where would it be?

J: Home.

A: Ireland.

J: Soft, feminine, classic, sometimes-edgy.

J: The primary students at my school have been calling me Miss Luna.

A: Yes.

 

What's something you still have from your childhood?

J: Introversion.

A: Freckles.

 

What's one thing in your closet that you can never part with?

J: My Louis.

If you could raid one woman's closet, whose would it be?

J: Any who has the Chanel slingback pumps in size 7.

A: Betsy Devos. Then I’d donate what’s valuable and burn the rest.

J: Teleportation.

J: Time.

What would you say is the biggest thing on your mind?

J: The future.

J: I prefer card games or Heads Up, but maybe chess, Mancala, or Loaded Questions.

Biggest learning experience of your life?

J: My first year of teaching.

A: My first year of teaching and living in Rhode Island.

J: Graduating in four years with a full-time job.

A: The thoughts in my head when I hear people talk about their high school sports achievements.

J: Ali Wong's most recent Netflix special. It's become a TV show considering how many times I've watched it.

What's a book you plan on reading?

J: The Sun and Her Flowers.

A: Grant by Ron Chernow.

 

What's your favorite curse word?

J: Fuck, but I don’t like to curse.

A: When used well they’re all God’s creations and my favorite.

J: A good laugh and a long sleep.
