Highlighter for a Natural Glow
My fellow combination/oily-skinned ladies who have their own ‘natural glow’ might skip over this one, but hear me out. I love when light catches points of the face. What I don’t love is that my face decides which points those are (nearly all) and how much light catches (read: glares). With my current day-to-day beauty routine, I’ve been better able to control these and use my most coveted but avoided product—highlighter.
RMS Beauty’s Living Luminizer has been a favorite of mine for several years now. It might seem counterintuitive to use cream highlighter on my skin-type, but I’ve yet to find a powder highlighter that sits well on my skin, doesn’t exacerbate the oil issue or appear shiny rather than glowy. The Living Luminizer most resembles one’s natural highlight, especially now that they do it in several shades, without becoming more luminous throughout the day. I pat a small amount onto my cheekbones with either my finger or a concealer or lip brush, then use what’s left on my Cupid’s bow. It’s quite nourishing, which might appeal to dry skin-types. Best of all, it’s literally natural, and so I’m one step closer to my clean, green beauty goal!
