Hi, I’m Jen (she/her)
Others have described my photography as dreamy, romantic, whimsical, and sentimental, and actually, that’s how I would describe myself.
are there lilac trees [in the heart of town]
The name comes from a line in the song “On the Street Where You Live” from the film My Fair Lady. I initially created this space in 2018, when my husband and I lived in South Korea, to memorialize nearly three years of life abroad and the collection of streets we ended up on. A couple of pinch-me moments that came out of that space and time were my feature as a “Gal On the Go” for the brand Gal Meets Glam Collection, my first engagement session, and the publication of a selection of my cafe-hopping photos in this book. (Peep the third photo of my full-page spread!)
Eight years later–after eloping in New Zealand, returning to the States and finding home, having my personal photography occasionally featured in local print media, and deciding to step away from my decade-and-a-half-long career at its culmination before birthing my first child–this space has become my earnest creative endeavor and personal milestone.
소확행 (Sohwakhaeng) is a Korean expression meaning small but certain happiness–grounding in the joy of simple, everyday moments. Photography for me is trying to capture this feeling–through the soft, almost imperceptible details, the candid, intimate interactions, the essence of each subject and their humanity. Whether we’re co-creating solo, couple, or family portraits, a lifestyle session, or bespoke imagery for your brand or business, we’ll capture your “big moments” and the magic ones in between.

Cats.
