Services

Listed below are the services I have decided to offer based on what I love to photograph and my current capacity in motherhood, “packaged” based on my experience (i.e., session time sweet spot, average number of photos that stop your scroll, etc) with options built in. I love a creative concept or theme, so please feel very welcome to share in your inquiry and throughout the process every idea that’s percolating for us to dream on together. And if during the session we find new inspiration and the vibes are vibing? Time is a construct.

I am based in Rhode Island and willing to travel (as feasible). Travel within a 15-mile radius is included in package pricing. Factors that might increase pricing include additional travel, location-specific fees (e.g., admission, permits, etc), optional add-ons, etc.

You might notice they’re missing, but to be explicit, I don’t do weddings (or events for that matter). I find them un-intimate, and I have a habit of not doing things I don’t want to do. It would take some cosmic alignment and negotiating finesse to compel me to photograph your wedding. (I do appreciate the art of ~compellery~ though, so if you feel you have a case…by all means make it.) Otherwise, see “Elopements.”

Pricing and Inclusions

  • One subject, one location. headshots, milestones, graduation, celebration, maternity, just because

    Includes 1-hour session and 15 edited, high-resolution photos of your selection (delivered digitally up to 2 weeks from session date). Additional photos may be purchased as desired.

    Add-ons:

    • Time (session extension, outfit changes, additional locations, etc), $375 hourly rate prorated

    • 1 week expedited delivery, $350

  • Two subjects, one location. love, engagement, anniversary, parent-child, announcements

    Includes 1-hour session and 20 edited, high-resolution photos of your selection (delivered digitally up to 2 weeks from session date). Additional photos may be purchased as desired.

    Add-ons:

    • Time (session extension, outfit changes, additional locations, etc), $375 hourly rate prorated

    • 1 week expedited delivery, $450

  • Three+ subjects, one location. family, friends, teams, holiday cards and season’s greetings

    Includes 1-hour session and 25 edited, high-resolution photos of your selection (delivered digitally up to 2 weeks from session date). Additional photos may be purchased as desired.

    Add-ons:

    • Time (session extension, outfit changes, additional locations, etc), $375 hourly rate prorated

    • 1 week expedited delivery, $550

  • As many subjects as are in your family, 1 location per session. at home or some other special place (though my dream version of this is that I follow your family around in your home and capture the real, and sometimes raw, moments of you living life)

    Includes 1-hour maternity session and 1-hour newborn session (scheduled within 16 weeks) and 30 edited, high-resolution photos of your selection (15 per session, delivered digitally up to 2 weeks from each session date). Additional photos may be purchased as desired.

    Add-ons:

    • Time (session extension, outfit changes, additional locations, etc), $375 hourly rate prorated

    • 1 week expedited delivery, $425 per session

  • If you are looking for bespoke imagery for your brand, business, or some other creative endeavor, or the session you are envisioning is not quite reflected in the possibilities above, please reach out with your ideas and budget and we’ll discuss!

  • Two subjects (plus two witnesses and a celebrant/officiant, max). city hall and/or ceremony at a location/s of your choice

    Includes [3+]-hour session (ceremony and portraits) and “unlimited” edited, high-resolution photos (delivered digitally up to 6 weeks from session date). Option to bundle a 1-hour engagement session as desired.

    *Pricing includes base fee of $1500 plus $375 hourly rate (3 hours minimum) and may include additional fees as applicable (e.g., travel, lodging, etc).

    Add-ons:

    • 2 week expedited delivery, $1500

    • Bundle 1-hour engagement session (“unlimited” photos, delivered up to 2 weeks from session date), $450

      • 1 week expedited delivery, $450

  • Beautiful photos of intimate moments of you and your loved ones are heirlooms, and the cost of heirlooms can be prohibitive. As part of my personal commitment to accessibility and inclusion, I will offer occasional vignettes (commonly referred to as “mini sessions”) and sliding scale sessions each calendar year.

    Vignettes will be held at a preset date, time, and location with a specified theme (e.g., graduation, Mother’s Day, etc) and a maximum number of session slots.     Sliding scale sessions are reserved for those who identify as mothers at any stage of their matrescence. If you are or you know a mother who desires beautiful photos on an affordable scale, email jen [at] aretherelilactrees.com with the subject “Sliding Scale Session Inquiry” for more information. If you are an individual, group, or organization who is connected to individuals for whom an affordable scale/group rate would increase access, email for more information.

    If you can afford a session now or in the future without compromising access to basic needs, please do not inquire about sliding scale sessions and instead consider the possibilities above.
